This is a photo I took of Rainbow Row in Charleston, SC. Charleston is my absolute favorite city.

In The Thirteenth Step, Vincent mentions Charleston and how it was where his mother wanted to live. This is a site that he would have visited. It is known as Rainbow Row for the beautiful colors of the houses. It is located 83 – 107 East Bay Street.

In the mid 1700’s, what is now known as Raibow Row was the center of commerce. The buildings fell into disrepair. In 1931, however, Dorothy Legge purchased buildings 99 and 101. Since then, more buildings have been restored and have since given us Rainbow Row.
